What is a Marketing Survey?

A Marketing Survey is a tool used to gather information about existing or potential customers in a certain market or population. It is a research method for defining the market parameters of a business. Market research, organized use of sample surveys, polls, focus groups, and other techniques to study market characteristics (e.g., ages and incomes of consumers; consumer attitudes) and improve the efficiency of sales and distribution. This research can be done using various telephony tools such as a Cloud Call Center, IVR, SMS text messaging and voice broadcast.

Development of new products, opening of new markets, measurement of advertising effectiveness, communications, and knowledge of business competitors are among its basic aims. The information from the survey is then used to assess attitudes and beliefs, and in turn predict market behavior, such as buying intentions.

Many companies use marketing surveys by leveraging technology through the internet and telecommunications systems.
